Minutes of the DMTF Board Meeting

March 4, 2004, DMTV Studios

Jodi Kennedy to forward minutes from February board meeting.

Grant Status Board Approved: $500 to Ingrid Hoffmeister and Debi Salmon for "Inspire Art & Kidz".

"Inspire" is an arts education program that is designed to introduce the work of great artists throughout history, as well as show the work of local artists.

Grant Application Debi Salmon voluntarily re-formatted /streamlined the DMTF Grant Application.

Studio Academy Pete asked the board if they were familiar with the "Studio Academy" - new production facility/program in Sorrento Valley. The academy offers production, modeling and acting classes. Board members are not familiar with the academy. There is an open-house March 6th.

Equipment Bob Ganey recommended the board purchase the Teleprompters from the Prompter People. Bob will purchase one for $1,500 for evaluation.

DMTF Production Status The County granted $10,000 to DMTF for the "Search & Rescue" program. To be completed by August.

"A Children’s History of Del Mar" – Nicole Holliday and Tracy Phillips, producers – will be completed by March 31st. N. Holliday to talk with DM Historical Society President, Carolyn Batzler about a screening at the Powerhouse mid-April.

ADA Seminar – April 6th at DMTV

Producer’s Showcase Debi Salmon suggested that the producer’s group incorporate structured classes for the different disciplines of studio production.

Video on Demand Pete will replace Paya Asada and the Jazz concerts with new programming.

Expanding the DMTF Board Ingrid recommended Debi Salmon as a potential new board member. The board is also researching other potential members. If the board increases, it must increase by two members. Board to vote on Debi at next meeting.
