Serving their community for over 25 years, former Del Mar City Council Members Crystal Crawford and Richard Earnest are subjects of a new video "In Order To Better Serve". Sponsored by the Del Mar Television Foundation and directed by Emmy award winner Edward Kramer, the video takes you on a journey of discovery and volunteerism of two community members and how it's possible to make a contribution through public service. Dinner at Your House?

Dinner at Your House?

That questioned is answered with a new series on Del Mar TV. Hosted by Sunana Batra and Jeff Pistana the program combines Sunana's love of cooking and Jeff's curiosity of art and unique architecture and takes the viewer on a journey to discover east Indian style recipes and local interesting homeowners.

The first episode features local residents Jim and Judy Woodhead, who thoroughly enjoyed the experience and was thrilled to share their home and partake of some great tasting cuisine. Their grandson Theo Russell joined in the cooking and discovered Indian cooking can be fun and tasty. The second episode features local artist Tena Navarette and her home that Frank Lloyd Wright designed. This episode will start airing in November . Jeff and Tena discuss the inspiration behind some of her abstract artwork while Sunana prepares another great dish that you can almost smell. Tune in Thursdays at 8:30pm Fridays at 12:30pm. Children's History Walk

Children's Historical Walk

Third Grade students from Del Mar Heights School study local history and culminate the session with a walk downtown at various historical sites and end with the SD Sheriff's Helicopter Landing & lunch at Powerhouse Park.
