Danielle said, "When we found out about the contest, Monica and I talked in over and thought, well why not, nothing may come of it but we can try". And so they shared responsibilities and produced the one-minute PSA, which garnered them $250 in prize money to spit and their PSA airing on Del Mar Television Channel 130 digital and 24 analog, also on AT&T channel 99. Monica stated, "We wanted to show how hurtful bullying can be." More of their interview and the PSA can be seen Thursday Jun 18th at 8pm and streaming on the website at the same time at delmartv.com. Their PSA against bullying will air at different times throughout June and again in September.

The contest is part of Del Mar Television Foundation's Youth Outreach Program. Luana Karr, Project Director stated "We want to involve kids in a positive way. By creating a buy- in or connection to their community it provides them a sense of belonging and hopefully a sense of responsibility and future involvement." The foundation will hold a contest in October geared toward middle school students.
