Notes from the February 16, 2005
Producers Group Meeting
The meeting was brought to
order by Steve Rose, in attendance were Bob Ganey, Bill Hoffman, Mike
Mosakowski, Steve Rose, Larry Jones, Stephanie Sullivan, Dave Ryan,
Sylvia Blanco, Marty Czaja, Catherine Kaufman, Yvette Lechtner. Luana
called in sick and Pete was unable to attend .
New members Catherine, Yvette
and Sylvia were welcomed. The showcase process and the grant
applications were reviewed with the new members.
Bob discussed new equipment.
A DVD recorder has been installed in the rack in the control room. A CG
replacement is on the list. Also the need for better mics and headset
boxes was mentioned. We also need a card in the switcher to be able to
do backgrounds with the green screen using the switcher. Equipment wish
list is being prepared by Bob to review with Pete. Producers should send
their equipment desires to Bob.
Stephanie suggested it would
be helpful to have business cards with the DMTV logo on them. Perhaps we
can set up a program and template for cards on a computer at the studio
and work out a way to print some for interested folks.
Bob made a list of the
interested persons to help on weekends for the open house at the Farmer’s
Market, Saturdays.
It was discussed to have a
monitor set up and to have shows for viewing.
Larry is continuing his work
on an outline for the manual and guidelines for the producer’s group.
Mike and Debbi are hoping to
submit a proposal for a showcase soon.
Marty Czaja is certified and
has worked on one showcase. He would like to work on another showcase
soon and then produce a show on literacy training in the schools.
Dave Ryan and Sylvia Blanco
want to take the production class. They spoke to Edward and are hoping
there will be enough folks for a class at the end of the month. They
would like to produce a show on the Surfrider Foundation.
Steve is to check with Ingrid
regarding her proposed show for March.
No further business to
discuss and the meeting adjourned.
