of the DMTF Board Meeting
December 9, 2004, DMTV Studios
In Attendance: Pete Glaser,
Nicole Holliday, Eve Goldman, Philippe Lamoise, Bob Ganey, Jodi Kennedy
Fundraising Status: We
all need to make some follow-up phone calls, our mailing hasn’t
yielded much. We decided that we need a separate meeting to discuss
fundraising strategy.
Donation for Producers
Showcase: Ingrid filled us in on an offer of $2000 from Linda Penny
if we agree to produce and air a program on a new pharmacy/ ATM machine.
The board agreed that we should go ahead and shoot it, and then
determine whether or not it felt too much like an advertisement to air.
DMTV Idol Review Meeting:
We were pleased with outcome of this year’s event. Nicole has sent out
all DVDs that were purchased. There will also be a highlight video that
will be available by the end of this year.
Nicole also told us that some
of our contestants were invited to sing at the Girl Scout Cookie Kickoff
which is great publicity for us!
Jodi agreed to chair next
year’s Idol Contest and set up a separate meeting to begin planning in
February. Everyone is asked to contact anyone they think might be able
to help us out, either with corporate fundraising or production.
Grant Status: We’ve
had one grant request from Maria Gardner for $500 instead of her usual
$400. Board approved, deciding it’s so worthy.
This year, we have given
$10,000 in grant money to date.
Web Update: Board
decided to choose "Del Mar Village Association Stroll" and
"Volunteers to the Rescue" to stream on our website. Also,
Philippe has entered all of our fundraising information on our home
page.
Calendar of Events:
Board decided to put award deadlines, etc, at the bottom of agendas for
our monthly meetings so that everyone can stay on top of deadlines.
Telly Awards are due December
21st.
City Council Budget Meeting
will be the end of February. We need to propose $63,200 for our 2005
budget.
Next Meeting: Annual
Meeting to be held at Ingrid’s House on January 12, at 6:30 p.m.
