Minutes of the DMTF Board Meeting

November 6, 2003, DMTV Studios

In attendance Pete Glaser, Jack Batzler, Connie Anderson, Nicole Holliday, Ingrid Hoffmeister, Philippe Lamoise, and Jodi Kennedy

Meeting called to order at 830 a.m.

Minutes from previous meeting approved.

Voted to go ahead with black DMTV hats with gray and white logo.

DEL MAR IDOL CONTEST & FALL FUND-RAISING CAMPAIGN

Nicole reported that so far we have spent $6,000. expenditures include direct mail ($1,400), fliers ($100), hats & license plates ($3,500), brochures for day of event ($490), trophies ($65), prize money ($225).

Pete will work on next year's revised budget with Jack and Joanne and present at next meeting.

GRANT STATUS

Ingrid reported that she has currently spent all of her grant money, but is waiting until January or February to apply for new grants as she is revamping her show.

Pete got an e-mail from Maria Gardner ,that she would like to produce a half-hour show about the fire victims. Board discussed need to find a unique angle before allowing her grant money.

So far this year, we have given $8,800 in grant money including the Producers Group.

GROUP 66 STATUS

So far, we have collected $10,000 from top donors.

Ingrid asked if donated funds could be designated for particular show. Connie responded that we discourage that, but will allow if necessary for donation.

DEL MAR IDOL EVENT STATUS

We need all board members at station by 1000 a.m.

Edward Kramer and Bob Gainey are totally handling production needs.

Nicole will handle Debbe Dunning.

Edward will include PSA in post-production.

Jodi will get all food and stage decorations for day of event.

Jack suggested we give Susan Lennon clip to air on her newscast.

Judges will arrive at 1030 a.m.

Pete will be in charge of getting 3 volunteers from producers group.

FUND-RAISING UPDATE

Jack suggested we have some kind of termination date for fund-raising campaign.

Board members also suggested we make follow-up phone calls.

WEBSITE STATUS

Philippe has made up graph of who is looking at our website.

Pete suggested we talk about replacing some shows on website that aren't doing so well.

Philippe suggested we only use two speeds of video eliminating middle speed. That leaves dial-up and broad-band.

Pete requested that we put 5 minute producers group promo on our website.

BOARD EXPANSION

Connie wants to delineate specific talents.

We discussed if we should create subcommittees for getting work done as opposed to expanding the board.

Ingrid suggested we contact Chantal to be on advisory board, but not attend meetings. We decided we would each make a list of areas we want to focus on and present at next meeting.
