Minutes of the DMTF Board Meeting

September 4, 2003, DMTV Studios

Present: Connie Anderson, Jack Balzler, Pete Glaser, Nicole Holliday, Ingrid Hoffmeister, Jodi Kennedy, Joanne Price.
Guests: Joe, Hoefgen, Ass’t. City Manager, Del Mar, Philippe Lamoise, Ned Augustenborg.

President Pete Glaser called the meeting to order and asked for nomination of new board member.  Jodi Kennedy was nominated by Ingrid Hoffmeister and seconded by Nicole Holliday. The Board unanimously elected Jodi to serve Class of 2005.

The Minutes of previous meeting were distributed and approved.

Grant Status: Ingrid Hoffmeister requested grants for four shows @ $250 each for a total of $1,000.

The Board approved the request. (Two shows supported by this grant are already complete; two additional are in process.)

DMTF Productions: Pete Glaser announced DMTV’s production:  “A Walk in the Park” will air on PBS in November.

Database Progress: Pete Glaser announced the Database is complete, with all lists of “friends and contributors” available for promotion and fund raising.

Del Mar Times Column: Pete Glaser has completed five columns (in advance of publication) under the heading of “President’s Cut” for the Del Mar Times. The first column will appear in the September 5, 2003 issue. Hurray! Our thanks to Joe Jelley for the opportunity to use this medium for promotion of DMTV. Connie Anderson will write a note to thank Joe.

Group 66 Planning: Nicole Holliday announced the Annual Appeal is progressing on schedule, with highlight featuring the “Del Mar Idol” Contest. Direct Mailing piece and Major brochure for the Annual Appeal are underway.  Joanne Price, chair, Nicole Holliday, Jodi Kennedy and Ingrid Hoffmeister serve on the Contest committee.  Jack Batzler and Connie Anderson are working on the Funds Development materials: direct mailing piece and the brochure.

Committee for development includes: Pete Glaser, Nicole Holliday, Jack Batzler and Connie Anderson. Both Committees will meet next week for detail planning.

Public Relations:

·                 Joanne Price is preparing the advertising/promotion for “Del Mar Idol” contest.

·                 Connie Anderson submitted a promo article on the advent of “President’s Cut” to the Del Mar times.

·                 Connie submitted an article on Jodi Kennedy’s Board appointment, and pre-publicity on the Contest to the Del Mar Times.

·                  Pete will promote the Contest through DMTV media: the Bulletin Board and Newsletter.

·                 Philippe Lamoise will put the Contest and Annual Appeal information on our website.
