Group 66 – Holliday & Price The Powerhouse facility has been reserved for November 2 for purpose of auditioning Contestants in the talent contest, modeled on “The American Idol” TV program. Winners of the preliminary contest are eligible for the Finals, which will be part of the fund raising Open House at the station on November 16.  Continuing plans for the event is being planned by Price and Holliday.  They are going to Producers Group July 24 to recruit helpers in the Annual Campaign.

Batzler is working on compiling a list of prospects for fund raising, which will be included in the Foundation’s database.  The database will be managed by Luana Karr.

Discussion of needs and/or a wish list:  Ned Austenberg suggested the Board consider a “character generator” (Inscribers Supreme software).  Needs listed so far total $2,850. No action taken.

Public Relations – Anderson Anderson reported a meeting with Publisher Joe Jelley in which he offered gratis space in the Del Mar Times for a column or articles carrying news of  DMTV. A possible model was presented.   It was proposed that a column by President Glaser, with backup by Board members, be written on a weekly basis.   Glaser will consider it.

Ed Kramer Video Proposal – Kramer Kramer presented a fund raising idea in which he will produce a 2-hour tape featuring four existing DMTF concerts.  Tapes will then be sold in local establishments on VHS tape.  Included on tape: Eve Selis, Celino Romero, Primetime, DM Jazz All Stars.
